WHITE CHRISTMAS

Baylee's first dance recital

Last weekend Baylee had her first recital. It was a busy day with practice, pictures, and then the main event her class dancing. It was a fun day to because we also got to watch my cousin Kristina dance. Baylee was so cute up there and she was so excited to "dance on the big stage with the family there". To add to the excite of the afternoon the curtain caught on fire and delayed the show for a little bit, a day we won't soon forget.

Visit TO Santa Claus

This year my sister and I took the kids to the annual NICU christmas party. They had a great time making some of the crafts and then eating the cookies. After an hour in line we made our way to Santa and his helpers...Baylee loved sitting on Santa's lap and telling him what she wanted for Christmas, now the boys on the other had weren't really sure what to think but Caleb was really not wanting to have anything to do with it. After we had our pictures taken we headed off to the Meridian parade and had a great day.

Fall Leaves

Here are the kids today on our walk playing in the leaves.

Pumpkin Patch

Having fun at the pumpkin patch. We all went on a hayride and went to the pumpkin patch and found the perfect pumpkin to take home and carve.

Halloween Fun

It has been busy this past months with Halloween and Dale busy with school. In between we have had great family moments at the pumpkin patch, craving pumpkins, and of course Trick or Treating. The kids were so cute, I think I had as much fun making their costumes as they had walking in Nana and Grandma's neighborhoods. Of course I had to come up with some theme and have already come up with some ideas for next year. This year I decided on after some coaxing of Baylee, we went with The Cat in the Hat theme....Baylee was the Cat in the Hat and the boys were Thing 1 and Thing 2. Besides the boys having to take their candy out on the people's porch and proceed to sit and eat the candy right there.... it was a fun night.

Ballerina Baylee

Ballerina Baylee

Baylee started dance a few weeks ago. Every Monday we have a long day, but watching her and how much fun she has it is all worth it. Right now she has only three other little girls in her class, it is a perfect size. Her teacher is wonderful and Baylee does great. We wondered how she would do with paying attention, but have been a little surprised at how well this holds her attentions...especially compared to some of the other kids. This is bad, but it is the teacher in me and I am glad to know my kid won't have ADD.

Enjoying the few nice days left.

One of the few weekend days we have had in awhile where we are all home and Dale doesn't have to work on school all day. It is nice now that all the kids are old enough to play outside. The boys the swingset outside and are always climbing up the stairs to the swing, so we always trying to watch them or end up running after them because they move so fast up the stairs. Soon it will be cold and we will be stuck inside again, I don't know what the boys will do.

Princess Baylee's 4th Birthday

This weekend we had Princess Baylee's birthday party, she turned four. Wow, how time flys. We had a small gather of family for the royal event, one of her little friends came over and the two of them made their very own pricess hats. For the cake she wanted a castle for the princess, so this year I tested my cake decorating skills and even though it wasn't the perfect cake I wanted for her, it worked and everyone thought it looked great. She had a great time and made out pretty well.

Summer 08

It has been awhile since we have done an update. We will go back to the summer a little and then come back to now. This summer we were able to take the whole family by plane to California to see Dale's family. This was the first time we have traveled all of us together and on the plane no less. The flight there was horrible and the cranky people in front of us didn't help. We made it though and thank goodness the flight back was so much better. Overall, we had a great trip...we spent time with the family, took the kids to the beach for the first time, went to Muri Woods (like the Redwood Forrest), went to San Fransico. So our first family vacation went great.

Jessica and Brian's wedding

They did it, the two got married on July 18th on a perfect Saturday evening. The wedding was held at a winery in Kuna and the whole place was decorating in beautiful blues. We had a great time, it was a busy day of getting beautiful and spending time with friends. It was a first for the kids and man did they have fun on the dance floor, I had to carry Baylee out crying.

The boys first Hair Cut

On July 16th the boys had their first hair-cut at Sports Clips. It all started off good, but went downhill quickly when they decide to cut their hair at the same time. Both were screaming and wiggling all over, then we decided to try a sucker...oh man did that calm them down. After the candy both did pretty good, Caleb did want to sit much longer, so with all of the moving his hair ended up a bit shorter on his neck. It looks a little funny, but I guess with time it will grow back.

Family Update:

We finally figured it out. It has been a long time coming, but we finally got the blog thing figured out and hope this helps us keep in touch with all of our friends and family.

The boys celebrated their first birthday back in April and now are walking around the house. They are either together getting in trouble or are going in opposite directions getting in to double trouble. If it is quite, I know something bad is happening. Cayden is still the smaller one by about 2 lbs, but he is the dare-devil. He is always the first to climb up or out of something. Caleb is a little better at walking and is all over the house. He is Mr. Friendly, always smiling and waving at everyone. Baylee will be four soon and she is growing so fast. Right now she is in the princess phase, atleast we really hope it is just a phase. Most days she puts on the princess dress and we have to call her princess. She is full of energy and really doesn't stop talking unless she is asleep.

It has already been a very busy summer. I left for a week to go a Culinary Summer Institute program in South Carolina, what a great learning experience. I have made some great friends while attending the last two years, and we are already planning next year. The kids and I have had lots of fun, it has been great not working and being with them. So we all head to California to see the family. The trip their will be an experience all by itself, riding the plane the two of us and the three of them with a lay-over in Portland. Hopefully we will be able to take the kids to the coast will we are there.
